If I described my day to you, you wouldn't believe it. This is among one of the worst feelings I've experienced, yet it still makes me feel proud, despite the 3-0 loss to the Czech Republic (which by the way has great fans).

This is my first season covering UConn men's basketball for the Norwich Bulletin after spending this past summer chronicling the WNBA's Connecticut Sun after I covered UConn's women in the second half of last season. I am a self-described college hoops junkie with a soft spot for the mid-major game, partly because I attended Binghamton University, which also produced a better-known sports writer in Tony Kornheiser. Sports have always been a part of life, and considering my job, not much has changed. Although basketball takes up a majority of my professional time, soccer and hockey are the two sports I enjoy the most. Soccer was the sport I grew up playing and I'm already looking forward to the 2010 World Cup. As for time outside of sports, I believe traveling is the greatest form of education, and I would encourage everyone to get out and experience something new as much as you can.
